When you’re done indulging in the delights of Dubrovnik, get on a ferry and start island hopping up the coast. There are many marvellous small islands that are well set to cater for the needs of tourists. Some definitely worthwhile places to see are Mljet, Vis and Hvar. Many have voted Hvar as their top choice. There’s no shortage of reasons why. This island has some of the most wonderful places to see. Snorkelling is a great way to spend your time, or perhaps even charter a boat to explore the local Pakleni islands adjacent to Hvar Town. The locals are very friendly, there are loads of charming local shops competing for your business, the night life is brilliant and the ice cream is in abundant supply. Can I hear ‘HEAVEN’?!?!?! 

Even though visiting the islands and some of the bigger cities are necessities as part of your Croatia vacation package, don’t think for a moment that is all the country has on offer. These are a real natural wonder and is located northeast from the city, Split. This area is more inland and almost a completely different world than the coastal areas. Nonetheless it’s a charming place for visitors to kick back and enjoy all that nature has on offer.
