Bacardi Rum Plant 

If you ever had rum in your life, chances are good it was Bacardi! Although the Bacardi rum story has its roots in Cuba (and its manufactured across the globe), the plant in Puerto Rico is actually the largest rum distillery in the world. Here you can see how they produce this great drink and get to know the history of Bacardi a little better. It’s situated near the capital, San Juan. 

Gilligan’s Island 

If you are after a ‘raw’, untouched island experience, a trip to Gilligan’s Island is just what the doctor ordered. For the most part the island is uninhabited and great care has been taken to preserve its original natural habitat. It’s a great place to relax for the weekend and go snorkelling and swimming. The island is situated slightly southwest of Ponce.  

Las Cascadas Aquatic Theme Park 

If you have time to fit this into your Puerto Rico vacation package, definitely do it! This is fun for the kids and grown ups. The park is located in Aquadilla and it’s even worth spending a few days here. Whatever you decide, the rollercoaster rides and entertainment of Las Cascadas will surely be fun for everyone.  

Naturally if you are planning a holiday to Puerto Rico, one of your top priorities will be to relax as much as you can on the beach. In Puerto Rico there is no better place than this but Seven Seas. This is a stunning coastal strip and is situated near Fajardo on the east coast.

Apart from the obvious opportunity to bask in the glorious sunshine you can do some snorkelling, windsurfing and other exciting water sports.   

If you are a diver you will be in for a treat during Puerto Rico vacation packages. It’s a very well known destination for both scuba diving and snorkelling. You may find yourself to be based near Fajardo, in which case El Diablo is the place to go (northeast of the coast). This area consists of quite a few diving sites and would take you around 35 minutes by boat to get there.

This is a spectacular diving site where you’ll find beautiful coral and a variety and loads of marine life.
